![]() ![]() As you may have already noticed, I have strong feelings for this. The attacker, who police identified as 28-year-old Audrey Hale of the Nashville area. for some reason it made more sense for them to say "it's the 12th hour because it just started". Authorities say they received the first call of an active shooter at Covenant School at 10:13 a.m. It's pretty much agreed that the afternoon begins after noon, or 12:00 p.m., but when the afternoon ends and evening begins is a bit more vague. If you have an afternoon appointment, it's probably some time between 12:00 and 5:00 p.m. It's as easy as saying "the time is 30 minutes." but no. The afternoon is the time of day that starts mid-day and ends in the evening. If the time was 03:00 AM they wouldn't be like "The hour is 3 but i have no idea what's happening with minutes over here, let's wait it out and see" they know there's no exceeding minute part of that time expression. I mean they had the concept of nonexistence. Maybe they didn't have the number 0 back then IDK but if that's the case they should have had no business inventing this AM PM nonsense. It would be fine if we just had the decency to start the periods at 0 and end at 11 like any sane person would do. the wealthy could take their leisure in the afternoons, unlike the working class. The beginning and end is not connected because for some reason we needed to divide a perfectly circular time period into two parts with absolutely no beneficial reason. Originally, only the upper classes could afford to enjoy afternoon tea because: 1. There is an 11 and there is a 12 but it doesn't come after 11 in any case. I would like to know whose idea was that a time interval starts at 12 and ends at 11 when the said period isn't even circular. I would like to express my frustration about this. ![]()
